It’s been fifty days since I left corporate employment and Charles and I launched this Soul Play Family 365 Experiment blog. Somehow fifty sounds significant, so I’m making a carrot cake smothered with the girls’ favorite cream cheese icing to celebrate this milestone.

I haven’t always been big on celebration, but over time I learned the power of celebration. By celebrating a momentous event, day, or achievement, however big or small, we honor ourselves and release gratitude into the world. When I honor myself, I acknowledge my own self-worth inwardly and enrich my relationship with myself. When I release gratitude outwardly, it always seems to return manyfold down the road, sometimes in ways that I hadn’t even anticipated. I am looking forward to celebrating today’s 50-day milestone with Charles and the girls this evening.

We are also sending much gratitude and love to all of you who have been with us on this journey, cheering us, supporting us, and befriending us, silently and vocally. Each and all of you are our blessings, and Charles and I wholeheartedly appreciate your friendship and readership.
